A musician friend asked me to draw her son, an opera-lover, as his favorite character, Wotan in Wagner’s Ring Cycle. I know of the operas but have never seen any, so she described a dramatic scene where Wotan leaves his daughter, the Valkyrie Brünnhilde. I researched online photos of the characters, and she gave me several good photos of her son. The initial sketch is below, I’ll post updates in the next few days.
