I’ve had a request for another client birthday card, to be sent by a group of financial advisors. I drew up three different rough ideas – one a standard illustrated portrait of the three owners, which could be used for different occasions; a drawing of the three in front of their building, one holding a cake; and a kind of humorous scene where the three owners are dressed in bakers aprons, decorating a cake. The client sent me good photos of each partner and a photo of their building, all helpful when planning a sketch. But I’ve never met these fellows – they operate in a different state – so I don’t know their personalities. Are they traditional or a little more loose? We’ll find out which sketch they decide to go with.
